Pre-Vocational Courses

Every child is provided with intensive training for playing at least one musical instrument of their interest. A planned and structured curriculum is made according to the age of the child. Students are also trained for appearing in the Certificate Examination conducted by the Trinity College, London and other professional exams.

SOS, Kaulkhed Akola aims at developing the physical and artistic aspect of the child’s personality by conducting activities like Visual Arts, Performing Arts, and various outdoor and indoor sports under the supervision of efficient teachers and coaches.

Every student is been given Disaster-Management Training so that they can deal with untoward incidents that may require immediate attention and thereby reduce the vulnerability and improve disaster responsiveness. Teachers are provided with training programs that will help guide them in various teaching strategies and also bring back the interests of the students in subjects and encourage learning. More than 150 hours of training is provided to teachers so that they are proficient in teaching and understanding each and every child.

The Academic Board for SOS Akola at Kaulkhed was constituted with an aim to enhance academic standards. The AAB includes members of national repute in the field of education. The annual AAB meets contributes to raising quality of education standards, collaboration with international institutions, academic enhancement, and implementation of innovative ideas.

For the continuous enhancement of the teaching-learning process, measuring the effectiveness of the evaluation method and ensuring the quality standards, the schools have undergone various accreditations. Two schools of the SOS Group are NABET accredited and one is ISO 9001: 2000 certified.

Academic Audits are conducted annually to access and endorse that the school meets the established standards. It helps in upgrading the standards and encourages continuous self-assessment, accountability and autonomy in the innovation of school education. The guidance by the Academic Audit members also encourages capacity building and professional development of the teachers. These audits are conducted in all the constituent schools of MGS.
